Not only does he not dodge the question, he brings up an even difficult question and answers it! Incredible.

Well, since I was a kid I have loved taking pictures of everything and anything. In my closet are about 10 albums jam packed full of pictures from all my mission trips since I was 10. My desire has been to do photography for a very long time. I didn’t express this desire because of lack of money and the cost involved in pursuing this hobby.
Brandon and I have been looking at Digital SLR cameras for about 2 months. Praying for money, and asking God for the right time.
Yesterday I came home from work around 2pm exhausted. I threw myself into our office share and checked my email. Brandon came home about 10 minutes later. He then called from the other room…”Come here, I want to show you something!” I dragged myself in the kitchen plopped down on one of our kitchen chairs. His back was facing me and then he turned around with a Canon Rebel XT camera and took a picture of me.
I was so stunned that I was speechless trying to figure out how he could have gotten it without me around. Brandon and his parents all pitched in and bought it for me as a Christmas/Birthday present. They wanted me to have it early! Thank you Moms and Dads…. and my amazing husband.
I’m so excited! I’m now trying to figure out how to use it. So many bells and whistles.

I’m taking a history class online with my university – MSSU. It’s been great so far. We’re getting into the Civil War–heavy stuff! The class ends in a few weeks, and I have a 1000-word essay to write by 4PM this Thursday (the day after tomorrow)…haven’t even started. Pray for me.
We had a great Thanksgiving with our family in Joplin, MO.
We wanted to share with you a quick testimony of Jesus’ provision and faithfulness to us:
This month has been the tightest month for us financially. We’re barely getting by financially with our incomes from my job with TheCall and Beka’s job at the Higher Grounds coffee house on the IHOP base. It’s difficult at times, but the Lord has called us to serve TheCall in this season, and it’s so rewarding in so many ways–knowing that we’re changing the future of our nation.
Back to the story: last week, we still had part of our income left to tithe, but we had a bill that still had to be paid by the end of the month. We also have several other expenses coming up. We had to decide between tithing or paying the bill. Knowing that the Lord was faithful to provide, we stepped out in faith and gave the tithe. We then left for Joplin to visit my family.
Long story short, we were blessed beyond expectation. My grandmother took us out and bought us $200 worth of groceries, my dad gave us several pounds of beef, and we received a $400 check! We came home and stuffed everything in our freezer/refridgerator. It barely fit. We were able to pay our bill and more!
We still have some upcoming expenses that we’re trusting the Lord for, but time after time, He proves that He is so faithful!
Brandon and I went to see the movie “Enchanted” this past weekend. We loved it. Here is our favorite little song right now.
